101 Advanced LinkedIn Strategies With Celeste Berke Knisely

Guest featured in this episode:

Celeste Berke Kinsely (nice-lee) is a revenue-generating detective, an in-demand business strategist, consultant, certified trainer and speaker. She has led teams of 50+ across the US to record breaking results in Sales with portfolio management in excess of $105M annual revenues. She’s learned a thing or two about starting conversations and the power of building a robust network and how to laugh along the way.

Through the power of storytelling and real-life case study topics, she draws the crowd in so they can relate and understand how powerful a network can be and how to leverage relationships to impact the bottom line of a business. A no fluff – no bs approach to training, “Entretrainment” is how Celeste conducts workshops and 1:1 coaching sessions. With her sharp wit and nurturing demeanor, she focuses on providing everything that a company or individual needs and nothing they don’t.

She prides herself on the ability to look at situations with a different lens. Most focus on what they are doing and how to do it better. Celeste’s approach at TLR Consulting Group is to roll up her sleeves to work hand-in-hand with clients. A high-touch, high accountability approach is taken to peel apart the onion to find gaps in process, areas or opportunities and how to completely turn-around a business. The focus is on needle-moving/revenue generating tactics, and often, tweaks are so small, yet have a completely profound impact!

Celeste has been featured as a 40 under 40 for the Triad Business Journal, served as a Board Member for the East Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, was awarded the Stonebridge Director of Sales of the Year Award in 2016, Manager of the Year designation for Marriott in 2014 and 2015, holds a Masters Degree from the George Washington University and a B.S. from Kent State University and is currently an organizer for an online Chi Omega Alumnae Group. 97 Preventing Stress Over Dealing With Stress

We’re talking about stress today because stress is part of being human and none of us can escape it and in some cases, it can help motivate you to get things done. We’ve all been there, from serious illness, job loss, painful life events can be a natural part of life. You may feel down or anxious, and that’s normal too for a while, but only for a short while. Talk to your doctor if you ever feel down or anxious for more than several weeks or if it starts to interfere with your personal or work life. Seek help.

One of the most frequent questions I get asked is How do you deal with everyday stress and cope up with your busy workdays? And my answer to that is prevention.

It’s much easier to prevent stress rather than dealing with stress. It’s much easier to prevent burnout rather than dealing with burnout. It’s much easier to prevent having boundaries rather than dealing with boundary problems. You see, you can pretty much fill in the blank with anything in this form. It is much easier to prevent something from happening rather than dealing with it afterward.

I teach my clients how to correctly manage their time so they would set realistic goals, focus on the simple joys of life and never have to feel there’s too much on the plate. Together we rid the word overwhelm by attending our own non-negotiable activities first and understanding our values and priorities before we do anything else.

Do you know your own values and priorities?

What’s important to you?

For example, working out, downtime, self-reflection time, what lights you up, are these activities scheduled on your calendar first before chores and work?

I’m gonna let you in on a little secret, I always ask my clients to schedule sleep time first on their calendar before anything else?

Because only when we are physically healthy can we have the energy to do anything else! You want to start a business?

Schedule in sleep and mealtime before you hustle your way to burnout. You want to grow your business?

Schedule time to reflect and slow down instead of running into walls or spinning around.

You want more happiness in life?

Schedule in your activities of joy before anything else.

What relaxation techniques work best for you?

Doesn’t matter the modality, whether it’s meditation, yoga, breathwork, whatever works for you, be sure it’s on your calendar first.

“The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule but to schedule your priorities.”

This is the only way you are able to crush your goals with clarity and not burnout.

Of course in the case where a client is stressed, I do feel I have the superpower to expedite the coaching process and quickly remove any mental blocks so to solve the problem but my goal is always to teach my clients first the skills needed to live life on your own terms and prevent stress in the first place.

And always remember, nothing affects your stress levels like the voice inside your head. The good news is you are in control and you can exchange these negative thoughts for positive ones.

Cheers to you for living the dream life you deserve.
