I was listening to a podcast episode where this amazing woman, a successful woman entrepreneur out of NY was talking about growing up in the city of Rosemead, where I also once lived. Now to give you some context Rosemead is a city about 20 minutes east of Downtown Los Angeles, a city many consider not to be ideal to live in and have their future kids grow up. So this lady talked about how she wanted so badly to get away from this city.

This particular episode really resonated with me and actually made me laugh because I was in a very similar situation. My parents didn’t buy our first house until I was in middle school, before then, we moved from city to city of course with the aim to be in a better area with better schools for me. Finally, in the middle of 8th grade, we bought our first condo in our dream city. I was doing great, had straight A’s, but felt it wasn’t enough. I was chasing all the shiny objects in life I was never truly happy.

So after my sophomore year in high school, I decided to drop myself, even though I had straight A’s. I was disciplined to transfer to UCLA and voila, one of my roommates was from Rosemead, coincidence? Or fate? Maybe life was trying to teach me a lesson.

Where you are now just might be the best place to be. What you are doing in life might just be the best thing for you to be doing. When your business will explode might not match your expectations but everything is falling into place as it unfolds so all you need to do is to enjoy what you have and not focus on the lack.

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning but anyone can start today and make a new ending.

It doesn’t matter where you start, it matters where you finish and how you enjoyed the journey along the way!

Or better yet, it doesn’t matter where you start, as Long as You Start.
